Kept fresh

We retest against new releases and update prices, pulling models when they stop earning a spot.

FryerLoft started in a cramped apartment kitchen with a countertop full of air fryers, a stack of takeout menus we were trying to avoid, and a genuine curiosity about why some machines produced crisp, golden fries while others left us with soggy disappointment. What began as a personal obsession with getting dinner right on a weeknight has grown into a dedicated resource for anyone trying to make sense of the crowded, confusing world of air fryers.

Our Founding Story

FryerLoft was founded by a small team of home cooking enthusiasts who were frustrated by the gap between marketing claims and real kitchen performance. We noticed that most review sites either recycled manufacturer spec sheets or ranked products based on affiliate commissions rather than actual cooking results. So we decided to do things differently: buy the units ourselves, cook real meals in them, and write about what actually happens when you press start.

What started as a side project comparing five basket-style fryers has turned into an ongoing commitment to testing dozens of models every year, from compact 2-quart units perfect for a studio apartment to 10-quart dual-basket giants built for family dinners. We built FryerLoft because we wanted the resource we wished had existed when we bought our first air fryer.

How We Review and Pick Products

Every air fryer featured on FryerLoft goes through a structured, hands-on evaluation process before it earns a spot in our recommendations. We believe trust is built through consistency, so we apply the same criteria to every unit we test, regardless of brand reputation or price point.

We also factor in price-to-performance value, warranty terms, and customer service responsiveness from each manufacturer, because a great air fryer should be a good long-term investment, not just a good first impression.

What Makes FryerLoft Trustworthy

We are not interested in publishing another generic listicle. Every recommendation on this site is backed by actual testing, documented notes, and photos or video from our kitchen sessions. When we haven't personally tested a product, we say so clearly rather than presenting secondhand information as firsthand experience.

FryerLoft does participate in affiliate partnerships, which means we may earn a commission if you purchase a product through links on our site. This never influences our rankings or opinions — our editorial team operates independently from any partnership arrangements, and products are never ranked higher because of a commercial relationship. If a fryer underperforms, we say so, even if it comes from a well-known brand.

Our team includes home cooks, a former restaurant line cook, and a small-appliance repair hobbyist who helps us understand what's happening mechanically inside these machines — from heating element placement to airflow design. This mix of practical cooking experience and technical curiosity is what shapes the depth of our reviews.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Air fryer technology keeps evolving, with new features like dual-zone cooking, smart connectivity, and improved non-stick coatings appearing every year. We continuously update our guides and re-test popular models to make sure our recommendations reflect the current market, not outdated information from years past.

Thank you for trusting FryerLoft as part of your research. Whether you're buying your very first air fryer or upgrading to a larger, more capable model, our goal is simple: to help you make a confident decision backed by real testing, honest writing, and a genuine love of good food made easy.
